Sharp money is moving fast on Wednesday’s MLB board, and the best value sits where elite pitching matchups, rising totals, and smart market steam all collide. From Dodgers-Giants to Padres-Rockies, here are the most promising bets and player props for April 22.

🪙 Boston Red Sox ML +115

🪙 Detroit Tigers -128

🪙 Texas Rangers ML (+105)

👟Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (-125)

This is the classic ace-vs-struggling-starter run-line setup. Ohtani’s form and Mahle’s poor run prevention make Los Angeles more attractive laying a run and a half than paying a heavy moneyline.

👟 Cubs -1.5 (+115)

When a team takes this kind of market support and the opponent still has pitching uncertainty, the run line often carries better value than chasing a steamed-up straight price.

👟 Arizona Diamondbacks -1.5 (+135)

Arizona has Eduardo Rodriguez at 1.96 ERA, while Anthony Kay’s shiny ERA is flagged as a regression spot with a much worse expected profile. This is a good “favorite by margin” game.me.

5️⃣ LA Dodgers 1st 5 innings -0.5 Run Line (-130)

If you want to isolate the best part of the Dodgers edge, it is the Ohtani-versus-Mahle starting matchup.

5️⃣ New York Mets 1st 5 innings ML (-145)

Holmes has been extremely effective, and the Twins’ listed starter uncertainty makes the first five the cleaner way to back New York

5️⃣Braves 1st 5 innings Run Line -0.5 (-110)

I prefer the Braves early rather than full game because Atlanta’s full-game number softened on the board, but Zack Littell’s home-run issue remains a major liability against a power lineup.

↕️ Padres vs Rockies OVER 12 (-110)

This is the loudest total on the board, opening around 11.5 and pushing toward 12, and Coors Field weather is hitter-friendly with warm temperatures and strong wind. Add in Sugano’s regression indicators, and this is the best total look on the slate.

↕️ Yankees vs Red Sox UNDER 7.5 (-110)

Max Fried and Ranger Suarez both bring quality form, and Fenway is expected to be cool with cloudy conditions, which helps the under more than the side.

↕️ Brewers vs Tigers UNDER 8 (-117)

This projects as a lower-scoring game with Chad Patrick and Casey Mize both carrying ERAs under 3.00 into the matchup, and the market is already sitting in that low-total zone.

↕️ Phillies at Chicago Cubs UNDER 7.5 (+100)

⏫ San Diego Padres Team Total Over 6.5 (-120)

Coors plus a high market total plus Sugano’s regression warning is enough for me to back San Diego’s bats directly.

⏫ Atlanta Braves Team Total Over 4.5 (-135)

Atlanta just hung nine on Washington, enters on a six-game winning streak, and still owns one of the better all-around offensive profiles in the league

Diamondbacks Team Total Over 4.5 (-130)

Anthony Kay is a regression target, and Arizona is one of the better favorite-and-bats combinations on this board.

🔶  Yankees vs Red Sox NRFI  (-125)

Fried/Suarez is one of the best starting-pitcher pairings on the slate, and the cool Fenway weather supports a quiet opening frame.

🔶  Brewers vs Tigers NRFI (-125)

Chad Patrick and Casey Mize both enter with strong run-prevention numbers, making this one of the cleanest early-inning under spots.

🔷Braves / Nationals RFI YES (-123)

⚾ Shohei Ohtani [Dodgers] OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (+115)

The form is elite, the matchup is favorable, and Ohtani has 18 strikeouts with a 0.50 ERA entering the game.

Walker Buehler [Padres] OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-130)

Buehler’s strikeout rate is back above a strikeout per inning, and Coors inflation on the total can keep his prop number reasonable.

Casey Mize [Tigers] OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+115)

Mize’s K rate has jumped from 8.4 K/9 last year to 9.9 K/9 early this season, which makes his strikeout over attractive in a low-total environment.

Braxton Ashcraft [Pirates] OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+102)

Ashcraft has struck out at least seven in three of four starts and has allowed no more than two runs in any outing so far

Coors, warm air, wind, and a market total around 12 is exactly the kind of backdrop you want.

🎯 Mike Trout [Angels] Home Run (+350)
