MLB Best Bets and Props for Wednesday April 29 2026 LATE GAMES

Sharp late-board action is pointing more to run suppression than fireworks tonight, with the strongest signals showing up on Mets/Nationals, Tigers/Braves, and Royals/Athletics. The cleanest side move is Philadelphia, while the most interesting contrarian move is the market trimming Pittsburgh hard and giving St. Louis real value.

BEST MONEY LINE BETS

🪙 Milwaukee Brewers ML -125

Milwaukee is not taking massive steam, but the market is holding them in favorite territory with mild support while the total leans under. In a tighter game profile, the home side gets the edge.

🪙 Detroit Tigers ML (-136)

Tarik Skubal gives Detroit the best frontline pitching edge on this part of the board. Even with some natural Braves respect at home, the Tigers remain favored and the total is shaded under, which supports the ace-led side.

Another total that drew under support nearly across the board. This is one of the best straight totals on the slate.

Ace-on-board plus under shading is enough for me here. Atlanta’s lineup is dangerous, but the number suggests the market expects Skubal to mute the game early and often.

↕️ Royals/Athletics Under 10 (-120)

This total is showing downward pressure from the opener, which is notable because late West Coast-style totals can resist movement unless the market has a real pitching angle. We prefer this at 10; at 9, I would be more cautious.
